Two days after defeating the BJP in Himachal Pradesh, Sukhwinder Singh Sukku is all set to become the next chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.

Thanking the Gandhi family and the Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, the 58-year-old leader will be sworn into the office in the presence of senior leaders of Congress. He will hold the office as the 15th chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.

Sukku is four-time MLA and chairman if the Congress state election campaign committee. The leader of the opposition in the outgoing assembly, Mukesh Agnihotri will become his and the state’s deputy chief minister.

When people asked him as to why the other probably candidate Pratibha Singh was ignored, the leader said that no one in the party had been forgotten and everybody will be given their dues. Pratibha Singh, the state unit chief and the wife of later Virbhadra Singh and their son Vikramaditya could get a post in the cabinet.

Sukku further added that the Congress general secretary, Priyanka Vadra had spoken to all party leaders tow months back that helped them to win the elections. The support the party got after her first rally in Solan helped them in making the government in the state.
