Liz Truss- The New Prime Minister of UK

UK Foreign Minister and Conservative Party Chief, Liz Truss has been elected the prime minister of United Kingdom after she defeated Rishi Sunak. Rishi Sunak was defeated by almost 20,000 votes by the winning candidate.

She will be the 3rd woman prime minister after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May. In the first ever time, there will be no white man in her cabinet.

Her anticipated appointments have been welcomed even by Boris Johnson’s former race adviser Samuel Kasumer who resigned 12 months after controversy.

It is said that Liz Truss would probably appoint James Cleverly as the overseas secretary, Suella Braveman as residence secretary and Kwasi Kwartang as the chancellor. Rishi Sunak is not expected to get the post which is also a first as usually the unsuccessful contenders do get a post.

Liz Truss is expected to reach Balmoral Castle in Scotland to be formally appointed as the next PM by Queen Elizabeth.

Boris Johnson who was forced to announce his resignation in July after his many scandals will give a speech outside Downing Street and then go on to Scotland to formally handover his resignation to the Queen.
