Bharat Jodo Yatra

Covering a distance of 3500 kilometres across 12 states and taking around 150 days, Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” from Kanyakumari to Kashmir will start on September 7, 2022.

Present for the launch of the event from Kanyakumari, Rahul Gandhi visited and paid tribute at the memorial of his father and former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.

Rahul Gandhi will also attend an event in Kanyakumari in the company of Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister MK Stalin, Rajasthan’s Ashok Gehlot and Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh Baghel.

Rahul Gandhi and Stalin along with other leaders of Congress would walk to the seaside venue of the rally and Stalin would present a Khadi National Flag to Rahil Gandhi who will then hand it over to the Seva Dal Workers who will carry it throughout the yatra.

The yatra is looked upon as a strategy by the Congress to improve its chances of winning the 2024 elections. The Congress admits that the yatra is a decisive moment for the party’s rebirth and is a moment of transformation for Indian politics.
