After six months of drama, Elon Musk has finally taken over Twitter. Muck has completed the 44-billion-dollar deal and is now the owner of Twitter.
The first thing as the new owner he did was fire four top officials, including Parag Agrawal, the chief financial officer, Neal Segal, Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy and trust and Sean Edgett, the general counsel of Twitter. They were seen leaving the San Francisco office.
Elon Musk and Parag Agrawal have been at loggerheads since long and their animosity is publicly known. Their legal battles and remarks are made public. When Elon Musk said that he had no confidence in the Twitter management, Parag had replied that was Twitter dying.
A day before the deal was complete, Musk changed his bio to “Chief Twit.” He also said that he had bought Twitter so that the future of civilization had a common digital town square. He also added that he had not taken over the company for money but wanted to help humanity. Adding further, he said that he feared that social media would break into a far-left wing and a far-right wing which would produce much hate and divide society.
Parag Agrawal would not leave Twitter empty handed; he would be rich by 42 million dollars.
