Unlike its other products that are normally launched with much publicity, Jio has taken out its Jio laptop called the Jio Book very quietly.
The company had been working on this laptop for a long time and now the laptop is finally out at a reasonable price of 19, 500 rupees. The laptop is packed with an 11.6-inch HD display with a good resolution.
The Jio Book is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics.
Gamers will not be very excited with this new laptop as the processor used is an old one. But the made in India Jio Book has been made keeping in mind students and first-time laptop users.
The storage details are not clear yet but the laptop is said to have 2GB of RAM. The software front of the laptop is running in a custom version of Jio IOS. The laptop has an HD camera and some pre-installed apps like Microsoft Browser and a few more features.
The laptop was first shown at Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) event in 2022. Although the company has not confirmed the availability of the laptop, it might be available for all very soon.
Jio with its launch of 5G at Diwali may also introduce the laptop. The stock of Jio Book is limited as of now but the company will refill it soon.
The Jio Book with a plastic case and Jio logo on the lid is now available for buying on the Government e Marketplace (GeM), which means that as of now, only government employees can buy it.
