Moto GP Comes to Greater Noida

The Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida will proudly host the Moto GP World Championship for the first time ever in India in 2020. Here, in India, it will be called Bharat Grand Prix.

Dorna Sports and Fairstreet Pvt. Ltd. have signed a seven-year contract that is an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding). Besides Uttar Pradesh, Dorna Sports is working actively with other state governments also to bring the motorcycling culture in India. It wants to work with many state governments to bring up the level of Moto GP riders by governing, promoting and nurturing the motorcycling culture.

The Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath wants to give all bis support to make this event a huge success. He says that this event will give an encouragement to the hospitality industry and also tourism industry. According to the CM, hosting this world-famous mega sports event will be of great pride for the state.

This year, India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and hosting such a big event is actually a tribute to India, says Union Sports Minister, Anurag Thakur.

It is also a very big days for the sporting and automobile industry in India.

Mr Anurag Thakur further said that the international exposure of hosting this grand event will give a big boost to the motorcycling sport in India as it is already very popular among the people who like riding bikes. He further added that choosing India as the place for expansion of global footprint of Moto GP World Championship, the Federation Internationale de Motocylisme (FIM) has bestowed great pride upon India.

Moto GP also plans to introduce Moto E into the Indian racing system, the first in Asia. This will also be the beginning of the net zero carbon emissions, thus promoting green revolution.
