The much-awaited film of Amir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Lal Singh Chadha has failed to turn into a big hit. On its opening weekend, the film failed to rake in 50 crores and reports to be the lowest performing film of Amir Khan.
On its opening day, the film was able to make just 12 crores and its failure can be attributed to the cancel culture and boycott trend that is at its peak for the industry.
The film is directed by Advait Chandan and is an official remake of Forrest grump, a Hollywood film which featured Tom Hanks. The movie also features Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in crucial roles.
Lal Singh Chadha has been amidst controversies even before its release. Netizens had called for boycotting the movie because of what Amir and Kareena had said in the past. The stars also requested the fans not to boycott the film and watch it in theatres.
