Ayushmann Khurrana is back in a different, unorthodox role. The actor presented the teaser for his new movie Doctor G, in which he plays a reticent student of gynaecology. The movie, which is being produced and directed by Vineet Jain, will release in theatres on October 14.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dr. Uday Gupta’s comical difficulties are the subject of the medical campus comedy-drama Doctor G.
Uday is locked in an all-female gynaecology class despite wanting to specialise in orthopaedics. Shefali Shah serves as his mentor and counsels him to lose his masculine touch in order to win over his patients’ trust.
On October 14th, Doctor G, a film written by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap, will be released in theatres.
The movie’s director, Anubhuti Kashyap, said that Doctor G is a coming-of-age comedy drama set in a medical college and is a riveting and funny look at a male gynaecologist living in a society where women are generally in charge.
The actor Ayushmann Khurrana did a fantastic job portraying Doctor Uday Gupta. He, Shefali Shah, and Rakul Preet Singh each added something unique to their performances that helped the audience connect with the characters and circumstances.
The comedy-infused film tackles gender stereotypes in his personal and professional life and will be appealing to young Indians.
