Tennis star Sania Mirza and cricketer Shoaib Malik got married in April 2010. Theirs was a love marriage that took place in Hyderabad. The couple was blessed with a son in 2015.
The star players were apart from each other many a times due to their professional commitments. They did not meet for five months during COVID-19. Sania returned to tennis in January 2020 where she won the Hobart International Doubles.
When they got married, Shoaib was of the opinion that love conquered all boundaries and was above the race, caste and religion of those in love.
But now, things are not good. Shoaib is working as a cricket expert for a news channel and hasn’t announced retirement from international cricket. The duo has signed contracts with different shows so they are not commenting on their status as of now. But it is being said that once they solve their legal hassles, they will decide on whether or not to divorce.
Although they have not given any reason for their divorce, Sania Mirza has been sharing some remarks on social media. Even after divorce, the couple will co-parent their son.
