Released in five languages-Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Yashoda has already been declared a hit. The movie released on 11th November and in competition had Amitabh Bachchan’s Uunchai. Yashoda was released across India as well as in the USA and Malaysia and is said to be doing equally well abroad.
The actress is thought to be ‘their own’ by Tamilians and Telugus. Besides, Samantha Prabhu in the lead role, the film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan. The film has music composed by Manu Sharma and directed by Hari and Harish Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor of the movie and M Sukumar is the cinematographer. The movie is produced under the banner of Sridevi Movies by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad.
When the trailer of the movie was released on 27th October, it showed the actress playing a surrogate mother, along with other surrogate mothers who are kept in a center where she detects something wrong about the center and the trailer ended with the actress doing a high octane action sequence.
