Brahmastra has come as a saviour of Bollywood. Bollywood movies have not been doing well at the box office since some time now and most of the films are being boycott with people appealing others not to go to theatres to watch the films.
But although Brahmastra too got into the boycott scene, it has emerged as a box-office hit. It has apparently collected 75 crore rupees globally.
It was made with a very big budget of 300 crore rupees. Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The two have come together for a movie for the first time.
Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the movie and the film also stars Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan.
It is the first film of a series of superhero drama. Ranbir Kapoor plays Shiva, a simple boy who is a DJ and unknown to him has special and strong connection with fire. He is the one person to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon that can destroy the universe.
While Amitabh Bachchan and his group try to protect the Brahmastra, Mouni Roy, playing Junoon, the queen of dark forces is out to get hold of the weapon.
