Made with a huge budget of 140 crore rupees, directed by Ayan Mukherji and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra is the first in a series of three films. Off late, films in Bollywood are not doing well at the box office and everybody is hoping that this movie will break the trend.
The film is getting the widest release and will be shown across the world. The movie is to be released on 5000 screens worldwide. During the promotions of the movie in Hyderabad, Country Manager and President Disney Star, K Madhavan said that this is the first time a movie is getting such a huge release.
In its pre-release sales, the movie is already said to be doing well. The Imax format has already sold 2 lakh rupees in advance sale and 1,21,700 tickets for all formats. The number is rising and even places like Jaipur, Patna and Indore are showing excellent response.
PVR Cinemas, one of the biggest multiplex chains is said to have sold 1 lakh tickets in advance booking and are further asking people if they have been lucky enough to get their booking done.
Brahmastra is set to be an epic fantasy that breaks the barriers of slim making and releases on 9th September.
