On Wednesday, CV Ananda Bose took the oath of office as the next governor of West Bengal. At a ceremony held in the Raj Bhavan, he was sworn in by Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court Prakash Shrivastava in front of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, several state officials, and Speaker Biman Banerjee.
